Kitchener, ON - THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener is pleased to be presenting the Boathouse Reunion Christmas Party on the evening of December 20th, in support of live, local music.
“We are delighted to be providing a venue for Boathouse fans to come together over the holidays and celebrate live, local music,” said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM. “It’s the perfect time of year to reflect and celebrate.”
Boathouse patrons, or “Bohohemians” as they like to call themselves, are still searching for a home to enjoy nightly live music and in a unique environment like the Boathouse once offered. The reunion will feature some familiar faces including Boathouse bartenders and food served by Patrice, the famed Boathouse Chef. Music will be provided by some favourite Boathouse bands including Romeo Sex Fighter, Beggars Banquet, Sex Dwarf and Steve Parkinson and the Stony Lonesome.
A Facebook page (The Boathouse Christmas Party) has been launched and has already drawn many enthusiastic “Bohohemians” looking forward to the event. Chris Latta, local musician and Boathouse frequenter, is helping to organize the event. “It’s been a turbulent few months, but I’m just so pleased that there is still an appetite and support for the musical environment that the Boathouse created,” said Latta. “I’m very much looking forward to this reunion!”
The Boathouse Reunion Christmas Party will take place at THEMUSEUM at 10 King Street West in downtown Kitchener on Friday December 20th from 8:00PM through 1:00AM. Tickets are $15 or $25 a pair and will be available at Encore Records and THEMUSEUM and online at www.THEMUSEUM.ca. Guests are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations.
THEMUSEUM is attached to the parking garage at Duke and Ontario Streets which boasts several hundred parking spaces and direct access into THEMUSEUM.
