Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales & Operations, the Partnerships & Special Events Coordinator has a key role in producing revenue through third party rental sales, group sales, birthday parties, and special events. Part of a team of coordinators, the candidate provides support to the team through a strong commitment to customer service, growing and supporting THEMUSEUM to increase revenue through its mission, vision and values.

POSITION: Day Camp Leader
DEPARTMENT: Exhibitions and Program Development
REPORTS TO: Camp Program Coordinator

Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of THEMUSEUM’s Themed Summer Day Camp Program. These camps run from July 3rd to September 1st,2017. This position is centered on leading and maintaining a fun, educational and valuable experience for our campers. The successful applicants will be involved in preparing and presenting a variety of themed activities and programs for children between the ages of 4 – 12.
Qualifications: Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old. Experience working with children is essential. Your background should include proven leadership ability and the ability to communicate effectively. Applicants should have knowledge or skills in one or more of the following areas: education, science, history, and or art. Our Day Camp Leaders will be comfortable liaising with parents as well as dealing with minor discipline issues. Additionally, a dedication to providing accurate, enthusiastic, engaging and age appropriate programming is a must. The Day Camp Leader position is a physically demanding role, and you will be expected to spend the majority of the day on your feet interacting with and supervising campers. Patience, creativity, interpersonal skills, organization and the ability to take initiative where necessary will round out your qualifications.
Applicant must have First Aid and CPR training/certificate.
Starting Date: Variable, paid mandatory training sessions may be booked as early as June 12th.
Full-Time Starting Date: July 2nd, 2017
Wage: $12.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:45 am to 6:00 pm, for approximately 40 hours per week.
This position is sponsored and therefore must be filled by a full-time post-secondary student returning to school full-time.
