Doug Gilmour, former Maple Leaf Great, to visit THEMUSEUM
Dave Bidini to interview Doug Gilmour on September 29th
Kitchener, ON – On Tuesday, September 29 THEMUSEUM is pleased to be hosting former Toronto Maple Leaf Captain and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Doug Gilmour. In 1993, Gilmour led the Maple Leafs to the Campbell Conference Final, where the Leafs lost out on a trip to the Stanley Cup finals on a late controversial call when Gilmour was cut by Wayne Gretzky and required eight stitches. Gilmour will be interviewed by author and musician Dave Bidini and then take questions from the audience.
A limited number of VIP packages, which include a meet-and-greet with Gilmour, as well as autographs, are available; those interested can contact Robyn.Cheng@THEMUSEUM.ca or call 519-749-9387 ext. 233 for more information and pricing. Photos and autographs are not guaranteed for regular ticket holders.
“We are very excited to be bringing such a notable, Canadian athlete to our Community Stage,” said THEMUSEUM’s CEO, David Marskell. “He has both thrilled and inspired us, and it will be fun to ask questions and hear some of the on and off the ice stories.”
A live, silent auction will also run online during the week before the event. Those interested will be able to bid on sports and leisure items; the auction will close the night of the event.
General tickets are $45 each, including taxes. Doors will open at 6:30PM for general ticket holders, with the event beginning at 7:00pm. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available. More information and tickets are online at www.THEMUSEUM.ca.
