Save the Evidence Survivor Series Talk with the Woodland Cultural Centre

Located in Brantford, the Mohawk Institute Indian Residential School, operated for over 140 years and continues to be a physical reminder of the legacy of assimilation imposed upon First Nations Children in Canada. Each month, the Woodland Cultural Centre invites a Mohawk Institute Survivor to share their experiences and stories of what life was like at the school as part of their “Survivor Series”. With sold-out lectures since its inception, the Woodland Cultural Centre is bringing this one-of-a-kind experience to THEMUSEUM for the first time! Proceeds from the event will benefit the Woodland Cultural Centre’s Save The Evidence campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise the necessary funds for repairs and renovations to the former residential school building, so that future generations can continue to learn about this dark chapter of Canadian history

Suggested donation of $10. All proceeds will go to the Save the Evidence Campaign
