Kitchener, ON – THEMUSEUM will be hosting a citizenship ceremony this Wednesday August 20th at 10:00 am. Newcomers will be sworn in as legal Canadians at THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener, which is also the temporary home of “Cosmopolis Toronto” an exhibition focusing on the diversity of Canada’s largest city.
The ceremony will begin with introductory remarks followed by the formal ceremony which includes the administration of the oath of citizenship as well as the presentation of Citizenship Certificates. Words of congratulations will be given to the new Canadians after which closing remarks will be given and the National Anthem will play. Attendees are welcome to enjoy a reception after the formal ceremony followed by an artist talk by Colin Boyd Shafer, award winning photographer for Cosmopolis.

The ceremony will take place on Wednesday August 20th 2014 at 10:00 am in the third floor theatre of THEMUSEUM.
