Kitchener, ON: THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener welcomes former Messenjah
reggae artist Errol Blackwood and his band to perform live.
THEMUSEUM and Our World Music Festival present Errol Blackwood Injahband live on Friday June 7th at 9:30 P.M. Tickets will be $20 and can be bought in advance. This is a 19 plus event and is an extension of THEMUSEUM’s ONE LOVE: The Bob Marley Exhibition.
Blackwood’s former band Messenjah began their climb to fame in 1980 in Kitchener, Ontario. They soon became the very first Canadian reggae band to be picked up by a major music label, Warner Music Canada. Errol began his solo career in 1984 and has been a successful performer since then.
Introducing Errol Blackwood Injahband will be Edwin Outwater, the current Music Director for the KW Symphony. He regularly guest conducts the Chicago, San Francisco and New World symptoms as well and is headed for a top tier future.
“We could not be more excited to bring in Errol Blackwood Injahband during our ONE LOVE: The Bob Marley Exhibition,” exclaims David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM. “I am equally pleased that Edwin Outwater will be opening the evening with an introduction. What a great way to celebrate this Region’s diverse and vibrant music scene.”
