Join THEMUSEUM for a Traditional Sunrise Ceremony!

Friday, June 21 | 5:59am-8:45am

Celebrations for National Indigenous Peoples Day and the Summer Solstice will start at 5:59 am on Friday, June 21st. A traditional Sunrise Ceremony will be led by local fire keeper, Al McDonald, and local Haudenosaunee Community Member, Fran Davis. After the ceremony, you are then welcome to come inside of THEMUSEUM for music, dancing, and of course – coffee! Spend some time browsing our exhibitions, such as SPECTRUM and Brain: The World Inside Your Head, for a creative start to your day.

At First Light: Tsi Tewentahróhos is presented in partnership with the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre and the City of Kitchener.

Please RSVP here!

This project has been made possible [in part] by the Government of Canada.

Why open THEMUSEUM newsletters?

"Just scanning the themes here, I think you and the programming team should be very proud of the relevance of your institution to so many of the important conversations of our time. Please keep doing what you’re doing!"
