Coming To Kitchener: Rick Mercer

Fresh off his top-rated, award-winning CBC Show, The Rick Mercer Report, “Canada’s Unofficial Opposition” will make Kitchener his first stop on a nation-wide tour. THEMUSEUM is thrilled to host “An Evening with Rick Mercer” on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Bingemans. This fundraiser celebrates Mercer’s storied 15-year TV series as well as THEMUSEUM’s 15th anniversary. (Coincidence? We think not!)

“We couldn’t imagine a better way to commemorate our anniversary than to welcome Rick to the community,” said David Marskell, CEO, THEMUSEUM. “We had the opportunity to work with him on the Searching for Tom | Man, Myths and Masterworks exhibition in 2011, which was a brilliant experience.” Watch the video clip here

Tickets will go on sale Monday, February 12 at 10:00 AM for Members of THEMUSEUM and on sale Wednesday, February 14 at 10:00 AM to the general public. There will also be meet-and-greet opportunities for VIP ticket holders. To become a Member, please click here. Ticket information is available here

An Evening with Rick Mercer is generously sponsored by BMO and KPMG.

Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Mercer has won over 25 Gemini Awards for The Rick Mercer Report, Made in Canada and This Hour has 22 Minutes. Mercer also starred in Rick Mercer’s Talking to Americans and is the author of three national bestsellers: Streeters, The Rick Mercer Report: The Book and A Nation Worth Ranting About. His full biography can be found here.
