On Friday, February 19, 2021, join Luisa Ji, one of the artists behind the installation MUSEUM OF QUIETNESS. Luisa will guide participants through a creative workshop where you will design an artifact of the future to balance noise and quietness. You can then submit your artifact to be part of the MUSEUM OF QUIETNESS Installation at THEMUSEUM. MUSEUM OF QUIETNESS is an art installation featured in our upcoming exhibition SONICA | The Sound Experience.
The workshop will take place over Zoom, and space is limited! Register by Wednesday, February 10, 2021, to save your spot. THEMUSEUM will be mailing materials to participants for the workshop.
About the Installation:
MUSEUM OF QUIETNESS – A participatory experience where audiences follow a series of visual prompts to draw attention to the auditory and visual noises in their present reality and use that as a starting point to craft and build their own prototype/artifact that allows them to actively imagine what a quieter future may look like and their role in it.
Artists: Luisa Ji, Kanika Gupta
