Join us at THEMUSEUM for our weekly 55 & Better Programming at 1:30 pm. Programming is included with free admission on Thursdays for those ages 55+, and we will have a pop-up café with FREE treats provided by Chartwell Retirement Residences each week during the program.
The climate emergency is upon us, and is already playing out with massive impacts on millions of people, plants and animals around the world. Yet these impacts are not spread out equally, with those who have often done the least to cause the crisis expected to suffer the most. Join for a talk and discussion on how we can center principles of climate justice in local climate activism organizing work, turning a deep crisis into a call for deep solidarity across our diverse experiences, and even across species, as we work to care for and love one another through the great trials to come while actively building a far more equitable, sustainable future. This is the powerful work we were made to do in this moment – work of transformation of hearts, minds, and entire societies to turn deep crisis into a profound opportunity to build a just society, deepening our relationships with each other, and across creation. Come join the conversation, and find your own place in this work. Featuring Kai Reimer-Watts.
