“Baroque Biology” by Jennifer Willet and “Reclamation” by Melissa General

The University of Waterloo Art Gallery brings you 2 new experiences offering very different themes and messages. Jennifer Willet presents “Baroque Biology” which gives its audience an interesting take on feminist science-fiction through works that depict imaginary biotechnology presented in digital images, performative sculptures, and more. Along with this display, jump into “Reclamation”, artist Melissa General’s display that attempts to reconnect and intervene with the water, land, and one’s self. Both of these artists are presented by Agents for Change | Facing the Anthropocene curated by Nina Czegledy and Jane Tingley, one of the four major pillars of THEMUSEUM’s latest exhibition ALARM | Responding to our Climate Emergency. These galleries will be open from January 16 – March 7.

Location: East Campus Hall 1239, 263 Phillip St, Waterloo, ON
