On Saturday, March 29th, join Half Dot Art and artist Bingye (Belinda) Zhang for a special exhibition send off of Growing Towards the Sun. Guests will be able to browse the exhibition, enjoy a live concert, and have the opportunity to purchase one of the 100 hand painted sunflowers for their own collection. This event is open to the public. Standard admission rates apply.
The full concert will begin at 6pm. The exhibition will be on display throughout the duration of the event. Please note that a portion of the Grand Atrium will be inaccessible after 12pm, and music will be playing throughout the building.

When music and painting intertwine at THEMUSEUM, an audio-visual feast is about to begin!
On March 29th, the HDACC-Off-clef Band will present a concert with a theme – “Growing Towards the Sun”.
This is not an ordinary concert, but a collision of art and heart:
- Art in the community, let music and painting into the life, to bring art and the public closer together.
- 100 hand-painted sunflowers, infused with the artist’s love and perception of life, will blossom in the rhythm of music.
- 16 Chinese and foreign famous works, the classic works across time and space, will be intertwined with the music, taking you to appreciate the infinite possibilities of art.
HDACC·Off-clef Band is a community-based cultural and arts promotional band composed of talented Chinese students from Waterloo-Kitchener area, formerly known as the popular “4:30” band, whose members all have advanced performance levels. They are involved in the community and active in the Chinese Spring Festival Celebration, the Wheat Arts Festival, rock concerts and other major stages, using music to ignite the passion of countless audiences.
Bingye (Belinda) Zhang is the founder of Half Dot Art Studio in Waterloo. In 2024, she was nominated for the KW Oktoberfest Rogers Women of the Year award in the Arts & Culture category.
