Researchers at the University of Waterloo Games Institute welcomes visitors to THEMUSEUM to take part in our virtual reality research study! The study is part of a stream of research about bridging the gap between virtual reality and ‘real’ reality. Here, we are investigating the effects of storytelling on perception in virtual worlds. We are seeking participants 8 years of age or above to take part in an experiment which lasts around 30 minutes. Participants will play a space exploration game in virtual reality, and will be asked to complete questionnaires about their experience. Afterwards, participants might be invited to take part in an on-site interview of around 15 minutes. Participants will contribute valuable data to our study, and will also get a closer look at the cutting-edge research being conducted at the Games Institute.
