INNOVATION IN ITS TIME | The World’s First Typewriters, offers a fresh look at one of modern history’s greatest inventions, the typewriter. The exhibition spotlights twenty-eight typewriters from Toronto based collector, Martin Howard, and allows a hands on look at some of the very first forms of typewriters from the late nineteenth to early twentieth-century.
INNOVATION IN ITS TIME | The World’s First Typewriters, will have guests explore the evolution of global communication and have a look through the ages that relied on ink and ribbon. From Gutenberg’s printing press to what eventually became a gateway for the information age that exists today, this exhibition, along with AFTERLIFE, brings two contrasting forms of communication together in our immersive space.
