THEMUSEUM to Accept Letters to Santa Claus!

Children to receive free admission as an early holiday gift when dropping off letters

KITCHENER, ON | November 25, 2024 – THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener wants to ensure children’s hopes and dreams make their way to Santa Claus in the North Pole and will accept letters to Santa during strike action at Canada Post.

Children bringing letters in person will receive free admission or a coupon for a future visit. At the end of the strike, letters will be delivered to Canada Post with the hope Santa still has time to respond.

“For more than 40 years Canada Post has helped children’s letters get to the North Pole keeping magic alive and THEMUSEUM wants to ensure that tradition is not disrupted this Christmas” … said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM.

Letters can be dropped at THEMUSEUM, located at 10 King Street West and addressed to:

Santa Claus
North Pole
H0H 0H0
Canada

Stamps are not required within Canada and children should include their return address. All letters from one family should be in the same envelope. Canada Post offers helpful tips and template letters for families to use and letters can be sent in all languages!

A response by Santa before Christmas will depend on the length of the strike but families are urged to bring letters before Monday, December 8.

Letters will still be accepted until Sunday, December 22 and sent to the North Pole. We can promise Santa will read each letter. As Santa is very busy that week, we cannot promise that a response letter will be sent.

Letters can be dropped at 10 King Street West during THEMUSEUM’s open hours to receive free admission that day, or a coupon for a return visit:

Monday & Tuesday: Open for Booked Education Programs

Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Thursday & Friday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Letters can also be dropped off during one of THEMUSEUM’s upcoming holiday events:

  • We are a drop off for unwrapped toys as part of CTV’s Toy Mountain ensuring many children who might not receive a gift will have something under the tree.
  • We are also pleased, to again, host the Sensory Sensitive Meet & Greet from 9:00am – noon on Sunday December 8th. It features the Jolly Old Elf himself, Santa Claus! Sensory Friendly crafts as well as exhibits will be available for people with sensory sensitivities. All ages are welcome to come visit Santa and explore THEMUSEUM for this holiday season!

Details for all events can be found at THEMUSEUM.ca/events. Best wishes for the holiday season from everyone at THEMUSEUM!
