The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED Exhibition Extended thru March 27, 2022; Ronnie Wood Art Exhibition in Waterloo now Free Admission

Immersive experience gives visitors a backstage pass into the band’s 60-year history

Kitchener, ON | February 22, 2022THEMUSEUM announced today the extension of both The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED exhibition delivered by DHL and The Ronnie Wood Art Exhibition following a second delay brought on by COVID-related restrictions. Runs of each exhibition, to accommodate their popular success and ongoing demand, will extend their closing dates from the original date of February 27 — now running through to March 27, 2022.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to work so closely with The Rolling Stones team to extend these shows. This news allows visitors to travel as the weather warms and March Break approaches,” said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM. “As a not-for-profit, every ticket sold is viewed as a donation, allowing us to continue securing world-class exhibitions like UNZIPPED.”

The UNZIPPED exhibition, which opened in late November 2021, has been successful in terms of guests satisfaction, ticket and merchandise sales. UNZIPPED has attracted 40%+ of visitors from outside of Waterloo Region, positively impacting local hospitality and arts and cultural sectors.

The same can be said for the Ronnie Wood Art Exhibition located at 95 King Street South in Uptown Waterloo. Due to the success of the show, and to make it more accessible for the community and visitors, THEMUSEUM is pleased to now offer The Ronnie Wood Art Exhibition experience free by donation.

In line with THEMUSEUM’s broader festival strategy, postponed events have also been rescheduled. The UNZIPPED Dialogues | Sticky Lyrics panel discussion, moderated by music historian and broadcaster Alan Cross and delving into favourite songs of the past that may be controversial today, will take place at the Apollo Cinema in Kitchener on March 2 at 7pm.

“As the band celebrates its 60 year anniversary in 2022, we are thrilled to extend the run of The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED to give even more fans and visitors an opportunity to experience a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s greatest rock bands of all time,” said Marskell.
