THEMUSEUM endeavors to bring Menstrual Equity to Waterloo Region

Posted on: April 10, 2019 by THEMUSEUM

Wednesday, April 10, 2019

On Wednesday, April 10th THEMUSEUM launched a petition with the purpose of having menstrual care products provided, without cost, in municipally owned buildings across the Cities and Region. This will benefit those in need or without access to menstrual necessities.

This effort stems from FLOW | The Menstruation Exhibition, which is at THEMUSEUM until Tuesday, May 28th and sheds light on the very real issue of Menstrual Equity around the World, as well as the ongoing issue right here in Kitchener-Waterloo. THEMUSEUM hopes to achieve awareness and change as they gather signatures towards their goal of 1,000.

“I am proud of THEMUSEUM team in tackling a taboo topic. Also that so many are responding in a positive way. I feel there is an opportunity, from this exhibition for our community to show its leadership across the country by taking this simple step.” David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM continued, We ask that you sign this petition to support the communities across Kitchener-Waterloo and the Region and encourage public buildings to offer free menstrual care products.”
