 Kitchener, Ontario –

THEMUSEUM is offering free admission to Waterloo Region residents… if they vote in the upcoming municipal election.

People who let THEMUSEUM’s friendly Visitor Service attendee know that they voted will be admitted for free from 10:00am until 9:00pm on Wednesday, October 24. (Yes, we believe in the honour system and no, we won’t ask who they voted for!)

“It is up to us to use our collective voice and support the candidates who will make a positive impact on this community,” said David Marskell, CEO, THEMUSEUM. “Ask the tough questions until you get an answer; celebrate those who say they’ll fight for you. Look for tomorrow’s leaders with vision and vote them in… then enjoy a free visit to THEMUSEUM!”

THEMUSEUM has recently launched two new exhibitions on the third floor. BRAIN: The World Inside Your Head, explores how the brain functions using innovative special effects, video games, optical illusions and interactive displays.

Connections & Contexts: 4 Artists Explore Islamic Influences and Traditions is in partnership with The Coalition of Muslim Women of KW (CMW-KW). A community meet-and-greet will be held on Sunday, October 28 between 1:00-3:00pm. Members of the public can RSVP for the free event here.

"Just scanning the themes here, I think you and the programming team should be very proud of the relevance of your institution to so many of the important conversations of our time. Please keep doing what you’re doing!"
