THEMUSEUM TO HOST EXCLUSIVE CANADIAN ENGAGEMENT OF THE ROLLING STONES | UNZIPPED EXHIBITION
International exhibition devoted to the world-famous rock band comes to Canada in 2021
Kitchener, ON | August 4, 2020 — The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED, delivered by DHL a unique immersive experience providing comprehensive insight into the band’s nearly sixty-year history, will be presented at THEMUSEUM in Kitchener in the fall of 2021.
“I am thrilled that we have confirmed not only the Canadian Premiere, but the only Canadian stop on the world tour,” said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM. “While we have brought world-class exhibitions from Titanic to Warhol here to Kitchener, this will be the largest show to date.”
Located in downtown Kitchener, THEMUSEUM is the ideal location to showcase a cultural journey with a rock and roll icon. Next fall, the exhibition will transform THEMUSEUM to provide a true backstage pass for any fan.

With hundreds of unique artefacts and memorabilia forming a multimedia exhibition, some on loan from the Stones’ private collection, UNZIPPED offers a comprehensive and engaging multimedia experience that will make Southwestern Ontario a cultural destination for many.
The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED will be available to experience from November 2, 2021 to January 30, 2022.
Advance ticket sales will begin in November 2020 with an exclusive ticket pre-sale for THEMUSEUM Members.

The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED is the first international exhibition by and about the world-famous rock band. Following engagements in London, the United States, Australia and Asia, the show toured Europe in revamped form in 2020. More than 400 original objects from the band’s personal archive provide an impressive look behind the scenes. Along with instruments, audiovisual material, diaries, posters and album covers, there are stage designs, iconic costumes and even a reconstruction of the band’s first apartment and recording studio. The grand finale is a unique three-dimensional experience of a Stones concert delivered in multi-dimensional Dolby Atmos Sound and facilitated by PMC (the Professional Monitor Company).
