THEMUSEUM’s FLOW | The Menstruation Exhibition Opening Night Event

Posted on: February 28, 2019 by THEMUSEUM

Sponsored by Diva International Inc. with Supporting Sponsor Shoppers Drug Mart

Kitchener, ON

On March 6, 2019 at 6 p.m. members of the media are invited to THEMUSEUM’s opening night of FLOW | The Menstruation Exhibition.

FLOW, curated by Virginia Eichhorn, features a variety of artistic media including installation, performance, dance, paint and embroidery. With menstruation as muse, the artists have challenged themselves to create pieces that are reflective, and address ideas and attitudes that relate to contemporary society.

Opening night, occurring during International Women’s Week, features an artist panel and will create an open dialogue for the artists participating in the exhibition to share their insights on the experience of creating menstrual-themed art. Opening remarks will be delivered by Exhibition Curator, Virginia Eichhorn, as well as Diva International Inc. CEO, Carinne Chambers-Saini. Speaking on behalf of THEMUSEUM’s Board of Directors, attendees will hear from Deb MacLatchy along with Navneet Kaur Randhawa of Shoppers Drug Mart and Region of Waterloo Chair Karen Redman.

THEMUSEUM will be accepting donations during the Opening Night Event along with select dates throughout the duration of FLOW for menstrual care products. Donors will receive a $5 discounted admission on select dates.

FLOW | The Menstruation Exhibition is Sponsored by Diva International Inc., makers of the DivaCup, with Supporting Sponsor Shoppers Drug Mart.
