THEMUSEUM is excited to announce our next guest in our An Evening With series, the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies and Canadian Baseball Hall of Famer, Rob Thomson. In this moderated conversation, Rob will be interviewed by Jamie Campbell, Sportsnet’s Toronto Blue Jays broadcaster, and speak about his career in sports as a Canadian!

This event is in support of Kitchener Panthers Baseball and THEMUSEUM.

About Rob Thomson

Rob Thomson, a Canadian professional baseball manager for the Philadelphia Phillies was born in Sarnia Ontario and grew up in nearby Corunna. Rob played in the Intercounty Baseball League for the Stratford Hillers from 1983-1985 and was part of the Canadian Baseball Team that played in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Rob was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019.

After leading the Phillies to their first playoff series win since 2010, Thomson was named the full-time manager on October 10, 2022. He lead the Phillies to their first National League pennant since 2009 losing the 2022 World Series to the Houston Astros 4 games to 2.

Jamie Campbell is a Canadian sportscaster with Sportsnet. He is currently the host of Toronto Blue Jays telecasts on Sportsnet and previously provided the play-by-play from 2005 to 2009.
