Kitchener, Ontario –
On June 8th and 9th, 2019, the Guelph & District Multicultural Festival will be hosted for the 33rd year at Riverside Park. Year after year, the Festival has welcomed an audience of 25,000 people on average to experience art, music and performances from around the world.
The festival includes an opening ceremony, a Multicultural Traditional Outfit Parade, live performances, craft and commercial vendors, a community networking area, and a children’s tent. It is here that THEMUSEUM will shine.
As a Silver Sponsor of the Guelph & District Multicultural Festival, THEMUSEUM will be hosting programming for children, youth and families to enjoy all weekend long free of charge!
Children’s programming will range from drop-in activities to programming with professional artists, featuring a magic show from JP Magic, and Indigenous storytelling with John Henhawk of the Flint Nation, more widely known as Mohawk, of the Wolf Clan Family from the Six Nations of the Grand River. THEMUSEUM will also offer STEAM programming including Pixel Stick Photography, squishy circuits, and a chance to explore the world of robotics with Ozzobots.
THEMUSEUM is a premier cultural destination and a hub for creative thinking and inspired play and is excited to bring this inspiring programming to an event like the Guelph & District Multicultural Festival. Be sure to visit for yourself, as the 2019 Festival will bring you more performers, food, fun and of course – more opportunities to celebrate Multiculturalism.
