Kitchener, ON –
In a continued effort to make arts, culture, and family programming accessible to Waterloo Region, THEMUSEUM and Family Experience Partners, Waterloo North Hydro and Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro, have joined together to offer the region Discounted Family Days.
The first of many Discounted Family Days will kick off on Monday, July 1st on which THEMUSEUM will be pleased to offer half-priced admission to all of its visitors. While here, The Underground Studio MakerSpace will be leading visitors in special Canada Day programming, which will include creating light up accessories using circuitry and 3D Modelling.
Waterloo North Hydro and Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro have provided ongoing support during the life of THEMUSEUM, previously The Waterloo Regional Children’s Museum, and THEMUSEUM is happy to continue working closely with these valued partners to ensure its full range of child and adult programming can reach as many as possible.
“Waterloo North Hydro is proud to partner with THEMUSEUM and has the opportunity to make the family day events more accessible to the community”, said Waterloo North Hydro President and CEO, Rene Gatien.
To further that point, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro added, “Exposure to science and technology in fun and engaging ways can be the spark that fuels a child’s imagination. Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro is pleased to partner with THEMUSEUM to offer half-price admission so that more children and families in our community will have the opportunity to explore new ideas and experiences,” said Jerry Van Ooteghem, President & CEO. “We’re pleased to be able to make this possible.”
Other half-priced admission days to look forward to include THEMUSEUM’s 16th Birthday on September 18th, Noon Year’s Eve on December 31st, and Family Day happening February 17th, 2020.
