THEMUSEUM Officially Unveils The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED Exhibition Banner Downtown Kitchener

Banner unveiling welcomes in “The Year of The Rolling Stones” in Waterloo Region and beyond

KITCHENER, ONTHEMUSEUM’s unique exhibition banners enveloping the front of the building have become an iconic piece of Downtown Kitchener’s arts and culture scene. On January 13, the existing banner for THEMUSEUM’S ALARM exhibition will be taken down after a one-year stint in the community, and will be replaced with The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED exhibition banner. THEMUSEUM will work with Kitchener-based Signs Galore Inc. on this exciting banner changeover. The unveiling of the UNZIPPED banner will symbolize 2021 as “The Year of The Rolling Stones” in Downtown Kitchener, Waterloo Region, and beyond.

In the fall of 2021, THEMUSEUM will become home to the Canadian premiere of an exhibition that offers a rare, immersive glimpse into the lives of The Rolling Stones and their nearly sixty-year journey. The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED delivered by DHL, opens on November 30, 2021 and runs through to February 27, 2022.

Members of the media are invited to attend this banner unveiling event for coverage and photo ops. Please RSVP via email ASAP at madisonl@durrellcomm.com. Due to COVID-19 restrictions in effect, media will have access to the event on a first-come-first-served basis, with a limited number of spaces available.

What: The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED banner unveiling at THEMUSEUM, welcoming the exhibition to Downtown Kitchener and celebrating the Waterloo Region as a cultural destination.

When: Wednesday, January 13th from 11:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Members of the media will be required to adhere to all COVID-19 protocols upon arrival.

Where: THEMUSEUM, 10 King Street West, Kitchener, ON (Parking for media available on King Street).

Who: THEMUSEUM.

Media is invited to attend at any time during the event. Please dress appropriately for the weather as this event will take place 100% outdoors.

All COVID-19 protocols and social distancing measures will be in effect. Members of the media must be equipped with a mask.
