$30K STEAM Programming Grant from PromoScience Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Recognizes THEMUSEUM’s Efforts

Kitchener, ON – THEMUSEUM is proud to receive funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s (NSCERC) PromoScience program in the amount of $30,000.

These funds will be used to support THEMUSEUM’s The Underground Studio MakerSpace, which offers a wide range of programming designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity and develop new skills. Workshops and projects are designed to incorporate one or more of the six core programs streams: 3D Modeling, Computer Programming, Circuitry & Soldering, Woodworking, Screen-printing, Textiles, and Deconstruction.

“It all starts here,” said David Marskell, CEO, THEMUSEUM. “If we get children working with their hands and embracing, through guided exploration the basic elements of STEAM programs, I believe many will take related courses in school and one day open their own tech based company or join the needed workforce”.

THEMUSEUM is founded on Art & Technology at Play and STEAM. allows learning through creative trial and error. Here, inspiration meets expression. Art meets tech. Mentors meet prodigies.

THEMUSEUM is grateful to continue their commitment to STEAM and STEM learning thanks to the funding from NSERC.

We acknowledge the support of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
