Sustainable Upgrades at THEMUSEUM

THEMUSEUM was successful in receiving matching grants from the City of Kitchener and Federal Government to change 90% of our lighting systems in the city-owned building. MP Raj Saini and Mayor Vrbanovic made the announcement of this sustainable effort at THEMUSEUM in March.

This is wonderful news, as THEMUSEUM is conscious of the environment and these changes will result in much less energy being used. Another example of this is our recent decision to eliminate our use of plastic water bottles and investment in refilling water stations for our guests. In the case of upgrading our lighting, we will also save thousands of dollars each year, helping us get closer to sustainability.

The upgrades to the building will take place from September 5th, 2017 through to our reopening on October 4th, 2017. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

For existing Members of THEMUSEUM, we will be adding a month to the end of your Membership at no additional cost. Remember, you can still take advantage of other membership benefits during this time as well, like 10% off at B@THEMUSEUM!

For information on our offsite activities during this time please visit THEMUSEUM.ca or inquire at the Front Desk

Thank you for your understanding. We can’t wait to see you in October!

Best,

David Marskell

CEO at THEMUSEUM
