xperience ART&TECHNOLOGY at play beginning May 3, 2023
KITCHENER, ON | May 1, 2023 — In light of THEMUSEUM’s 20th Anniversary and celebrating ART&TECHNOLOGY at play, THEMUSEUM is launching THEPLAYGROUND, a new experiential learning space on their third level.
“THEPLAYGROUND exhibition brings back several of our permanent interactives families know and love, as well as some brand-new unique experiences” said Laurel McKellar, Senior Director, Curation, Exhibitions & Program Development. The space is modeled after a traditional playground and will include soundscapes and projections that will bring the outdoors inside.
Returning interactives to the space include: Thoughts Flow (the water table), Graffiti Wall, Pixel Art, Animated Sandbox and Pin Walls. New additions to the space will aid in STEAM learning and discovery. THEMUSEUM has added a Gear Wall, where guests will learn about simple machines, and a Laser Lab table, where guests can play with mirrors and light. Fan favourite experiences such as the StarLab and Walking Piano have also been upgraded.
THEPLAYGROUND is set to open at THEMUSEUM on May 3, 2023, with improvements and additions happening throughout the summer months. For more information visit THEMUSEUM.ca.
